Struggling with making sales is something that you shouldn’t be ashamed of, everybody experiences them from time to time. But if you can’t make sales, how will you sustain the business that you love? Let's get started.
1. You just want to help people.
Start by HELPING YOURSELF. When you're helping yourself, you actually are helping other women. Wealth is what fuels our dreams. Stop suffering from the 'either/or syndrome.' You can make money and help people at the same time.
2. We often hear that people only do business with people they like.
How can you be likable to everyone? It is impossible to grow your business successfully by just being likable because, for everyone, likable is different. People don't just do business with people they like. We all want to do business with people who deliver to the commitment they made when they were selling to us.
3. You believe selling is a bad word.
Selling is not a bad word. It is an exchange of value. Give yourself permission to sell.
4. You love what you do but hate to sell.
If you love what you do but hate to sell, you're not going to be able to sustain your business. It's just the bottom line. Every business, whether it's a product, service, or expertise, needs to generate revenue. And how are you going to do that unless you are selling?
5. You think that asking for the sale is rude and pushy.
Here's the thing, whose responsibility is it to say no, if they don't want something that you're selling? It's the other persons' responsibility to say no. Most people get upset with salespeople not because they are selling, but because they feel uncomfortable saying no. So you keep asking your sales question.
